Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream at Mount Hope Farm
July 12, 2019 - July 13, 2019
One of the area's longest-running Shakespeare companies, What Cheer, Shakespeare, is pleased to announce that they will be performing at Bristol's Mount Hope Farm:
Friday, July 12th at 7 pm and
Saturday, July 13 at 7 pm
On the lawn behind the Governor Bradford House.
Entrance to parking will be through the Farm’s South Gates, where the summer Farmers Market is held.
The performance will take place outdoors, under the stars, but if it rains, will be moved inside the Farm’s Civil War era Barn, adjacent to the Gardens.
Bring your own chair or blanket and picnic dinner for your group.
What Cheer, Shakespeare? Has been performing at outdoor venues for the last 15 summers. The troop also produces several "off-season" productions, including their farcical adaptation of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, which has become a legend in Rhode Island.
The company is known for bringing Shakespeare to life for everyone, using modern costumes, simple scenery, topical references, but keeping The Bard's words intact! This is a great chance to see a classic comedy with the whole family!
Bring a picnic (BYOB), and don't forget chairs/blankets and bug spray! Information about the event is here in a PDF you can forward to friends who might like to attend.
Tickets are $20 for members (as well as 65+) and $25 for non-members on EventBrite or by calling the Farm at 401.254.1745. For questions about the production, call 401-332-0029.
